Lee Blinds began in 1987 when I was 30 and before I was married and before we had our two sons. Folks ask about how many blinds I have done. I say that I don't know, but if it were only 100 a month for 12 months a year for 30 years, then it is a very big number. I have, and continue, to do my own installations, with the exception of my shutters. My shutter relationship goes back 26 years. I am a Baylor graduate, as is my wife. I have one son currently at Texas A&M. The other son is a musician in Boston and has graduated from Berklee College of Music. Both boys attended Dallas ISD schools and were active in sports, music, church, and school activities, and have grown up to be very nice and competent young adults. I graduated from Baylor with the intentions to work in commercial real estate. I did for a time. I keep my broker's license current and have used my real estate knowledge to help in my former homeowner's association. I have been an active volunteer at each son's school and became interested in fossils and have been president of Dallas Paleontological Society and had a hand in helping create Mineral Wells Fossil Park. Thank you for considering Lee Blinds. Lee Higginbotham

Why We Sell What We Sell
Lee Blinds has continually been doing business in the Dallas area continuously for 30 years. Since 1987, we have provided our customers with fair prices and a high level of service. Commitment to quality work keeps our referral business growing. I would rather explain my price than apologize for my quality.
Lee Blinds is a Hunter Douglas Showcase Priority Dealer which means that we sell Hunter Douglas product by choice. Lee Blinds chooses to sell Hunter Douglas products because of their limited lifetime warranty and because of the large variety of products that address a number of different window needs. www.hunterdouglas.com
Lee Blinds also sells O'Hair Shutters because of their excellent quality and their limited lifetime warranty and the ability of these wood shutters to fit virtually any window that is needing shutter coverage.
Most people think that the BIG home improvement stores always have the best prices for everything. Not always so! We compare their prices to ours and find that we are sometimes a shade higher, sometimes lower, and oftentimes about the same price. Of course, we measure and install for free, unlike the BIG home improvement store, so your total time, costs, and headaches should be less.
The one other thing that we offer is 30 years of selling and installing window coverings and helping you make the best choice possible for each window opening. Not every product is perfect for every opening. It is about choices and it is about your desires for each window. Some windows need to be covered. Some windows do not need to be covered. Some windows need to be occasionally covered. Different products can meet different needs for you and your windows. It is good to have someone to ask questions of. Lee Blinds tries to have your answers.
We can take this project off of your "Do It Yourself" list and save you money! We provide a free in-home estimate to fit your schedule, where we measure, give you prices, provide samples, and colors. No obligation, only a chance to show you why we've had happy customers for this our thirtieth year!

Not all blinds and shutters are created equal.
Some retailers will save you 10% on the price so that you get 50% of the quality! Hunter Douglas product and O'Hair Shutters product have limited lifetime warranties. Make good choices with the long term in mind, because situations change and you'd rather have operable blinds and shutters for as long as you choose to live in your home.
We choose not to sell the FAUX or Vinyl or PVC Wood-like Blinds because of the blind's several limitations, including the additional number of cords and ladders that are required for structural integrity, the additional weight of the blinds, the sagging and potential sagging of the slats, potential future brittleness of the slats, and our concern for the overall longevity of the product, it is our humble opinion that God and gravity did not mean for vinyl to go horizontal.
If it is a product that you desire, then we will sell the Hunter Douglas Woodmates faux blind with its Hunter Douglas limited lifetime warranty for the lower end price point.
Not all blinds and/or shutters are created equal. Buy what will meet your needs today and will perform well into the future. Make an informed decision. Invest wisely.
Not my product. But do know that some shutters are not designed with the weakest link in mind. You may operate your blinds 365 times or more a year. Quality and competence in product really does matter.
Not my product on the right. A Hunter Douglas Wood Blind on the left and someone else's faux blind on the right. The wood blind does it's job better and has fewer "ladders" (3 vs. 5) or supports for the slats to lessen the "checkboard effect that is a faux blind" and, generally, has less weight.
